Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk - Wakefield
Description
Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an up and coming business based in Wakefield on a temporary basis.

Working as part of a large finance function, you will enjoy a busy and varied role with full exposure of the start to finish process. In return for your hard work, you will be rewarded with excellent onsite facilities and free parking.

The role is initially for a period of 6 months with an immediate start and does have the potential to extend for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your CV by gaining exposure to a new system and a new industry!

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the main duties of the role will include: -

*Processing a high volume of purchase invoices using Sage 50
*Matching and coding purchase invoices
*Identifying and dealing with discrepancies
*Dealing with supplier queries on the telephone and e-mail
*Processing staff expenses and petty cash
*Other general admin duties as required

To be the successful candidate you must: -

*Be immediately available and be happy to commit to a temporary/contract role
*Have previous experience of working within a fast, paced purchase ledger role
*Be confident in using Sage 50
*Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines and able to work well under pressure
*Have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to come communicate at all levels
