A new opening for a passionate customer service professional has emerged to join a well-established organisation providing support to the authority and its service users and customers.

In the Universal Credit Advisor job, you will be:

First point of contact for all customers, providing support with or to make or manage Universal Credit claims and related rent and service charge payments
Providing welfare rights and benefits advice to ensure that those using the service have the opportunity of having their income fully maximised
Maintaining portals, ensuring all records are maintained and stored correctly
Assisting the finance Department with payment information and reporting regularly on progress including case load, outcome and impact on arrears
Monitoring cases including providing and analysing performance information ensure that cases are actively manage and arrears are prevented
Administration duties as and when required
To be considered for the Universal Credit Advisor job you must have:

Previous experience working within a customer facing, housing environment providing professional Welfare Benefits / Universal Credit advice and guidance
Strong knowledge of the range of welfare benefits available and the qualification criteria
Proven track record of maximising income by successfully claiming all eligible benefits for clients
Experience of writing appeal submissions and presenting cases at Tribunal
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office packages
Excellent interpersonal skills, to deal sensitively and professionally with tenants experiencing difficulties

This is a fixed term contract up until July 2021 (possible extension dept. on funding) and is a full-time vacancy working 37 hours per week on an annual salary of up to £27,285 (pro rata) plus company benefits which include UK Healthcare and various pension schemes.
The role will be based at their offices however due to current circumstances; this role enables remote working.
