You'll be responsible for managing the CBS mortgage portfolio performance within our risk appetite and will own the Society's Collections & Recoveries policy, ensuring that it complies with all regulatory requirements, delivers good and fair outcomes for both borrowers and the Society, whilst optimising collection and recoveries effectiveness through analytics and management information.
In addition you'll have overall ownership of the Governance & Control framework across the Credit Risk department. You'll own the 2nd line activity to ensure that the Operations team are following the Society's Lending policy and Collections & Recoveries policy.
You'll also support the Head of Credit Risk in developing, maintaining & tracking delivery of the department's strategic plans, goals and key results.

About You
You will have relevant experience of working within a Retail Credit Risk department and will be well organised, pay attention to detail, and able to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
You'll have an excellent understanding of the principles of risk management, the associated regulatory environment and risk management strategies, policies and frameworks. With a strong commercial understanding, you'll be able to develop policy and strategies to maximise the effectiveness of our collection and recovery activity.
You'll be able to influence and persuade senior leaders in Operations in a collaborative manner to optimise our collection and recovery performance.
You'll be highly effective at both written and verbal communication with substantial experience of writing committee papers. As a self-starter, you'll have well developed analytical, planning and organising skills, an attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
You'll have a strategic long term outlook, able to understand and respond to long term trends which may impact upon the Society's credit risk performance.
