Senior Credit Underwriter - Non-flow/Structured Deals Central London£60k to £70k

Summary

This role came about due to expansion of the firm. We are looking for a Senior Credit Underwriter to work on the non-flow/structured deals from £250k to £2 million.

The candidate will take charge of underwriting allocated middle-large ticket deals all the way from getting the all of the financials and documents necessary from the clients to the credit risk decision.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Review new customer applications to ensure adherence to our risk appetite whilst maintaining SLAs, including escalations for complex or high exposure cases.
• Apply a broad knowledge of credit risk principles, financial risk assessment, sector knowledge and exposure calculation methods to understand potential risks and structure mitigation proposals to support new deals.
• Performing ongoing credit reviews of high risk accounts to ensure they continue to meet Nucleus' standards and risk appetite.
• Participate in projects as a Credit Risk representative in respect of new systems, integrations
• Provide support and knowledge to our Commercial teams and internal stakeholders about credit and fraud risk

Person specification:

• Educated to bachelor's degree in business, Accounting or any other relevant degree
• At least 3-4 years Underwriting experience
• Must possess advanced excel, accountancy and IT skills to be able to calculate ratios and analyse the clients' financials
• Strong knowledge of the FCA regulations
• Must show willingness to assist across the firm and have flexibility
• Ability to work on own initiate and meet deadlines
