The Senior Credit Risk Analyst, Collections will play a leading role in developing, monitoring and optimising collections strategies through their own analytics and modelling. Working closely with the Collections Operations team, this individual will be responsible for driving improvements in collections performance and business Return on Investment (ROI) through effective collection strategy management and analysis.

Moneybarn are in the process of implementing a new collections system across their operational teams. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the "grass roots" design and delivery of a set of new collections strategies and deliver an analytical framework enabling effective management and control of these strategies going forward. As such, we are looking for an individual who has proven experience in this field and can demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative with Operational colleagues to deliver best outcomes for our customers in financial difficulties.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

* Co-lead the design and development of collections strategies with the input from Operational colleagues

* Develop collections strategy performance monitoring MI

* Monitor the impact of changes to collections strategies upon the quality of customers, customers segments and propensity to repay

* Work on proposals to Champion/Challenge different collections contact strategies to target the optimal balance between cost and benefit, and internal return on investment.

* Produce effective analysis of key trends in arrears performance, with material variances identified and reported, and escalation to senior management and Credit Committee where appropriate.

* Make recommendations to remediate negative movements in arrears performance, working with Customer Service to turn these into actionable strategies

* Work proactively with external and internal operations teams (including outsourced arrangements) to build effective collections strategies (voice and non-voice) to improve customer and business outcomes

* Present proposals and obtain approval to collections initiatives to EXCO and other senior audiences

* Produce cost-benefit analysis on collections proposals seeking input from Moneybarn finance team, factoring in aspects such as impairment

* Provide clear insight on collections operational trends and challenges, feeding back to a non-technical audience in a consumable manner

* Produce impact analysis of proposals on operational capacity and business performance across different customer segments and types
