We offer:

  • Assess, review and sanction Real Estate finance requests (including commercial properties) within delegated lending authority and make recommendations to higher level holders if outside of ad-personam authority.
  • Liaise with FO, Clients, external Legal and Valuers to assist the structuring of requests.
  • Mitigate risks and assist with structured lending solutions within policy to meet client needs and banks risks appetite.
  • Monitor exposures for complex financial structures, review of any conditions, ensure property condition and purpose remain in accordance to proposition (requires periodic property visits).
  • Ability to assess, structure and review vanilla and complex Lombard transactions (including single-stock and structured lending) including a good knowledge of derivatives and their use would be advantageous.
  • Ability to manage a team of direct reports, including responsibility for all areas of performance management.

You Offer
  • CeMAP qualified.
  • Experience of real estate lending (and Lombard) lending, preferably with experience from a wealth management background in lending to HNW/UHNW clients and their structures (trusts/SPVs).
  • Working in a small skilled team in a demanding environment. Experience in dealing with the end-to-end process (underwriting, documenting, liaison with external advisors, closing) with regulated, non-regulated and commercial (retail, office, multi-unit, quasi-hotel financings etc.) real estate. Previous exposure to Lombard lending (vanilla and structured) would be advantageous, but not essential. Needs to have up-to-date knowledge of the changes to the regulated mortgage market following the implementation of the FCA\'s Mortgage Market Review.
