Senior Credit Controller

£35-£37K (12 month Contract)

London (Hybrid Working)

My client is a fast growing management consultancy and is looking to recruit a Senior Credit Controller on a 12 month contract to cover maternity.

Duties include:

Credit Control:

Responsible for the collection of all debt

Distribution of weekly debtor reports for Partners

Attend regular aged debt review meetings with HoF and FC to discuss & resolve problem debts.

Liaising with internal teams and Partners to minimise & quickly resolve queries.

Building strong relationships with Internal & External Clients.

Promote proactive contact with clients & fee earners in the pursuit of swift payment of bills.

Dealing with the allocation of cash receipts and queries.

Meeting deadlines and monthly cash targets.

Billing:

Review frequency of fees raised on projects by reference against budgets and via understanding of the nature of projects and make enquiries with project managers and Partners.

Act as a stage of review within the business before invoices are sent to clients

Monitor weekly and monthly billing against targets at firm and profit centre level and provide updates and insight to the HoF and FC.

WIP:

Assist the assistant finance manager in querying and investigating WIP positions. Review time profile month on month loaded to the project, project completion forecasts including billing forecasts.

Identify projects with significant deferred income and accrued income balances and make enquiring as to possible billings or revenue recognitions with the HoF and FC

Requirements:

Have necessary experience with similar style firms - high volume and >£100 T/O multiple entity / site businesses

Be an independent thinker with problem solving abilities whilst also being part of a strong finance team, gaining trust of wider team.

Ability to be resilient and able to work with multiple stakeholders including HoF, FC and engagement leadership.

Have good written and verbal skills with high attention to detail. Presentation and business language skills are also required to be able to present analysis to senior leadership.

An understanding of WIP life cycle (how WIP is generated), provisioning, revenue creation and manipulation as well as good experience in billing systems (ie, raising invoices).
