Senior Credit Controller

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are working with a growing business in Chesterfield as they look to strengthen their finance function with the appointment of an experienced and knowledgeable Credit Controller, initially on a 3 Month Contract with the potential to go permanent!

The ideal candidate will have an appetite for knowledge, outstanding communication skills and the ability to speak with people at all levels of an organisation.

You will be working as part of a friendly team, however will ultimately have full responsibility for the company cash flow, credit control, accounts management and in dealing with the wider business in relation to all this! You will have the ownership and autonomy to question and change processes as you see fit and will be a big advocate of process improvement with a real sense of pride for the work which you produce.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Pro-Active pursuit of debts through telephone & email to ensure prompt payments
* Management & resolution of invoice queries
* Achieving targets with regards, Overdue debts & Calls
* Working individually to maintain own debt ledger
* Supporting team members in maintenance of debt ledger
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
* Support the Sales team to improve efficiency and customer experience
* Innovate & Support continuous improvement of processes and infrastructure of the team

To be successful you MUST have the following attributes:

* Minimum 3 years working in finance department
* Motivated and able to work in a high-pressure environment
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams)
* Driven and focussed on achieving targets
* Ability to prioritise and adjust workload according to business needs
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team
