Senior Credit Analyst

This is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, with a chance of being extended.

Lloyd Recruitment Services are delighted to be recruiting for a highly professional and well established financial services organisation that seek a Senior Credit Analyst to help manage the Loan Book Risk.

Key tasks include assessment of inbound new extensions for existing loans, driving continuous improvement to credit policy and processes and contribution to Risk & Compliance and Watchlist forums.

** OFFICE BASED IN WIMBLEDON 3 DAYS/WFH 2 DAYS ** PENSION ** LIFE ASSURANCE ** PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE ** 25 DAYS HOLIDAY (Pro-rata) **

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review new extensions - existing loans summaries
  • Ensure that credit risk is managed within agreed lending rules and criteria and the Bank's risk appetite, protecting the quality of the Bank's loan book whilst supporting our customers.
  • Manage the Forbearance Report.
  • Manage watchlist account meetings and support delivery of the impairment reporting under IFRS 9.
  • Identify, address, and manage model risk (including all EUC's used for credit sanctioning and IFRS9 reporting) in line with Group policy and standards.
  • Support in the delivery of a product risk framework, ensuring department-specific risks are monitored and recorded diligently in the local risk register, contributing insight on risks affecting business and proposing control additions/amendments where appropriate.
  • Build strong working relationships with the operations and governance team to compile and present product risks and controls to the respective committee for approval.
  • Supports Operations team, acting as a point of reference for queries, providing additional training cross-business when necessary, aiding in completion of ad-hoc Operations activities (i.e., data entry, statements, lending rules, etc.)
  • Maintain compliance with FCA principles and internal procedures for Treating Customers Fairly.
  • Support in the annual audit.
  • Be a driver of an inclusive and engaging work environment.
  • Be a team player and participate in employee recognition programs.

Experience required:

  • Knowledge of programming language: SAS, SQL, Alteryx, Other
  • Good Reporting Skills: MS Office, Tableau, PowerBI.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Ability to manage time and keep to deadlines
