Senior Accounts Receivable/ Credit Controller

Accounts Receivable/Credit Control Specialist // South Manchester // £25-30,000

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced AR/ Credit Control Specialist to join a hugely successful international business, based out of their South Manchester office.

The role will have some degree of flexibility in terms of working hours and in terms of allowing some home based working if desired. There will be occasional meetings outside normal working hours to allow for meetings with oversees colleagues.

The role is newly created and will support the Credit Control manager for one of the oversees entities.

Duties to include:

Managing a portfolio of large, key accounts
Creating, analysing and presenting debt reports to Senior Finance management describing key actions in place to reduce and clear any forecasted month end ODR
Proactively participating in meetings with key stakeholders focusing on resolving debt and invoice related matters .
Liaising with international colleagues , using expertise to help resolve a variety of invoicing issues across the ledgers
Supporting self-billing reconciliation and involvement in ongoing process improvement for these clients
Represent the manager in debt and strategic meetings.
Analyse unallocated payments to give direction to colleagues on how they can be cleared.
Providing excellent service - from new client set up and first invoice delivery onwards, championing best practice for Credit Control colleagues
Involvement in ongoing process improvement projects to streamline and improve processes following a merger

Experience required

Management of large value /volume clients in a fast-moving environment
Involvement in process improvement
Analysis of complex client accounts
Credit checks and client set ups
Problem solver, driven to see through tasks to completion.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and Customer focused
Able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
Keen eye for detail
Able to quickly build key working relationships across several teams remotely and across time zones
Collaborative one team approach to working
Plans time and prioritises efficiently
Able to make a positive impact with process improvement and able to suggest areas to focus future projects
Good knowledge of Excel including pivot tables
Able to work remotely and some flexibility to participate in occasional meetings outside core hours
