Location - Chertsey
Salary - £134.61-£150.61 Per day
Duration - Ongoing contract

Summary of a Senior Accounts Receivable/Credit Control

This role involves working within the Collections team and to be responsible for a portfolio of large complex customer accounts which remain onshore. You will be accountable for the collection of all outstanding monies due, invoice query resolution, account reconciliation and internal/ external customer relationships.


Responsibilities of a Senior Accounts Receivable/Credit Control
• To collect all outstanding monies on the customer account within payment terms
• Build strong customer relationships and provide a first class level of customer service at all times
• Ensure order release is completed in timely manner considering available credit and working within the terms of the credit policy
• Ensure HQ and local targets are met of collections, ageing and query resolution in line with objectives
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex or problematic items that occur on the customer account
• Analyse and share with Key stakeholders the cause of these issues and agree actions and ownership on how they can be reduced
• Arrange regular debit reviews with Manager sharing ledger download and priorities identified to ensure all targets are met
• Collate the forecasting of cash due in each month accurately
• Monitor Marketing Claims and work alongside the Budget team and Marketing team to ensure claims are processed quickly and improvements are implemented
• Completion of scheduled activities such as weekly reporting, internal audits and any ad hoc requirements relating to AR
• Manage and take ownership of cross dept./ functional groups to look at process improvements and developments within the top 30 accounts
• Ownership of query management, navigating other areas of the business to help resolve problems arising from Shortages, Billing discrepancies & claim management
• Manage account reconciliation to reduce exposure and ageing debt across the large retailers
• Review and implement improvements with Logistic and return processes following Covid and Brexit restrictions
• Highly motivated, innovative, able to work of own initiative in a fast paced environment, delivering results according to KPI for department
• Manage and develop good working relations with all Key stakeholders within the business
• Issue Credit and Debit Journals where required
• Good attention to detail
• Strong analytic and numeric skills

Key competencies of a Senior Accounts Receivable/Credit Control
• Degree in Business or Accounting or a Minimum 5 years in an accounting /credit control team in a large corporate environment
•Extensive experience in Credit Control/Collections and Accounts Receivable is essential to be successful in the busy and interesting role
•Good Excel skills and to be competent in completing V lookup, Pivot Tables
• Essential Soft Skills

• Organised and efficient worker with strong attention to detail
• Work well under pressure and off own initiative
• Good customer service skills
• Experience of SAP
• Experience working with Offshore teams
• Multi tasker, to have been involved in both collections and query management roles
