Sales/Purchase Ledger Administrator

We have a great opportunity to make a difference by joining the team at Zoe's Place Charity. Zoe's Place is a baby-specific hospice that offers palliative and respite care for children between the ages 0 to 5 years. We are seeking an experienced Sales/Purchase Ledger administrator to join our office in Leamington Spa. Hours are negotiable between 25 and 35 hours per week.

The post holder will be part of a small team located within the Head Office of Zoe's Place Trust and will have responsibility for the sales/purchase ledger function of the charity. Previous experience of working in accounts within Sales/purchase ledger is essential, together with knowledge of Sage 50 accounts software.

The ability to prioritise workload, work to deadlines and use own initiative is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility of the Sales & Purchase ledger function
  • Matching,coding and allocation of purchase invoices
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing accounts details
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Processing internet banking payments
  • Sending remittances
  • Generating sales invoices to a monthly deadline
  • Matching payments and receipts to customer accounts
  • Small amount of credit control
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Generating and reviewing aged creditors and debtors reports
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve queries
  • First point of contact for all relevant enquiries

Skill/Experience

  • 2+ years experience of working in a sales & purchase ledger accounts team
  • Used to working to strict deadlines
  • Able to prioritise own workload with minimum supervision
  • Be a proficient user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Possess excellent communication and organisations skills
  • Experience of using Sage 50 accounts
  • AAT or accounting qualification - desirable but not essential
