Sales Ledger Clerk

Mpeople Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Sales Ledger to join a well-established and reputable organisation based in Oldham.

Hours: Permanent and full-time > (09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday)

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 dependent on experience

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Sales Ledger will be work autonomically to manage a multitude of duties including:

* Raise sales invoices in a timely manner to ensure correct revenues are reported for the business. Roughly 50-80 invoices per week.

* Post cash receipts as and when received into the business bank account to enable effective credit control and a positive service for customers.

* Assist the financial controller in calculation and payment of commissions for sales staff, using initiative to improve processes where possible.

* Liaising with a small number of those staff to assist in their technical resolution of sale.

* Monitoring of mailboxes and uploading documentation to the internal portal, where --necessary.

* Registration of customer warranties when jobs are fully complete.

* Sending documentation to customers and/or other relevant stakeholders, e.g. receipts, invoices and other reasonable documentation as requested.

* Facilitate the growth of the finance department and company by opting to hold an open mind to change and growth. Use initiative to suggest changes where you see fit.

* Assist the Financial Controller with any ad-hoc tasks, when required.

* Work as a team to learn and understand elements of the other members' roles to cover any periods of absence.

* Show a willingness to develop personally and contribute to the finance team and business on a wider scale.

* Any other duties reasonably required.

Experience, Attributes & Qualities:

* Experience working within a sales ledger or administrative accounts role (minimum 1 years)

* AAT qualification (or currently studying for) is desirable but not essential as study support will be offered

* The ability to work independently, and prioritise/manage your own workload

* For this role it is essential that you have a proactive 'can do' attitude, with a desire to learn
