Location: Leicester City Centre / Part Remote Working

Summary
Our Client - an established large service sector company based in Leicester - is seeking an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk to join their team on a full-time interim basis (min. 6 months onwards).

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

*Raising invoices & credit notes from site requests received throughout the month,
*Work with the Transactional Services Manager / team to validate the accuracy & validity of all payments received,
*Maintain a monthly invoicing schedule / tracker, ensuring all known fixed monthly fees are invoiced in a timely manner,
*Posting & ensuring the accurate allocation of all customer payments received,
*Email or post documentation to customers in line with business & individual preferences,
*Respond to all telephone & email queries in order to establish positive relationships with key customers, managers etc,
*Engage with customers & personnel at all levels to resolve queries that prevent / delay payment of invoices,
*Make optimal use of systems / software, proposing improvements where identified.

The Right Person
*Immediately available / on short notice,
*Previous Sales Ledger experience is essential,
*Passionate & enthusiastic about customer service, with a focus on exceeding customer expectations,
*A strong attention to detail, able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team within a large organisation,
*A well rounded, organised and self-motivated individual,
*Effective communication skills… polite yet tenacious telephone / face to face manner,
*Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel. Experience working with multiple systems would be beneficial.

Package
*Appointment Type: Interim Ongoing (min. 6 months / possible temp-to-perm in the long term)
*Rate: £10.46 per hour (subject to experience)
*Hours: Full-Time
*Holiday 23 Days + Bank Holidays
*A mix of office-based & remote working
