Job Description

Production and issue of invoices and credit notes

Updating billing information on the finance system - invoices / credit notes / payments

Assisting the Billing & Sales Ledger Specialist with the chasing of outstanding debt

Liaising closely with the business operations teams and clients to resolve queries relating to price build ups / billing

Ad-hoc reporting e.g. on outstanding invoices

Assistance with the maintenance of the Finance System e.g. creating/maintaining new job/quote codes and maintenance of these across other systems

Support and cover across other areas of finance when required, including: Accounts Payable - supplier invoicing, supplier statement reconciliations

Support and cover for the Billing & Sales Ledger Specialist on month-end activities e.g. bank reconciliations, balance sheet control/reconciliation and journal posting.

The Successful Applicant

A good knowledge of Excel, using formulas such as SUMIF and VLookup etc

Outstanding attention to detail and strong administration skills

Have a professional telephone manner and good customer service skills

Strong interpersonal skills, with a willingness to support immediate team members

Conscientious, confident, hardworking, team player

Willingness to take ownership and responsibility

Desire to learn and take on new tasks

AAT qualifications desirable (level 2/3/4)
