Sales Ledger Administrator

Due to expansion my and highly prestigious client based in the Barrow area are currently recruiting for a Sales Ledger Clerk to work within the busy finance team. This is a great role which will allow the successful candidate to really make a mark and make it their own.



This role offers the chance to work within a busy, dynamic Finance department with a wealth of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Cash collection on responsible accounts, maximising receipts on all invoices due for payment.
  • Follow best practice credit control process, including sending timely statements to customers and following robust collection procedures.
  • Timely resolution of customer queries, either from within the team or holding internal operational contacts to account to provide quick responses.
  • Control credit risk through review of credit limits and credit insurance values.
  • Set up of new customer accounts and cash allocation

Knowledge & Skills

  • Previous experience of credit control desirable, including demonstrable knowledge of cash collection procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficient in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem solving ability, with a right first time approach for fixing issues going forward.
  • Attention to detail, including accuracy when resolving queries and posting cash.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications such as Excel for use in analysis and communication. Flexibility to learn new IT systems and applications.
