Sales & Purchase Ledger Clerk; Permanent; Salary up to £23,000; City Centre Manchester

Search Accountancy are currently recruiting for an energetic and ambitious Purchase and Sales Ledger Clerk who is keen to make a move to a successful market leading Law firm in Manchester.

Working as part of a small team, you report directly to the Finance Manager, performing an all round accounting role with duties to include:-

Purchase ledger
* Processing of invoices adhering to set procedures
* Identification of problems and where possible resolving of these
* Ensure distribution rules are kept up to date to ensure efficient and timely approval of invoices
* Raising Purchase Orders
* Preparation and completion of weekly international and monthly UK supplier payments
* Keep Purchase and Sales Ledger Team Leader aware of issues on a timely basis

Sales ledger
* Raising sales invoices and dispatching to customers
* Maintaining pricing system
* Raising credit notes and maintaining credit note register
* Keep Purchase and Sales Ledger Team Leader aware of issues on a timely basis

General
* Provide general assistance in the finance department
* Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal teams
* Ad hoc reporting
* To carry out any other tasks requested by the Finance Manager

The ideal candidate will be academic, and have experience in a similar role in a fast paced environment. Experience in working within the Legal industry is desirable.
