This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading UK organisation in a Purchase Ledger - Team Manager role supporting the finance Busienss Partner and managing 3 staff members. This is a new additional role to the team and you will be able to add real value to the organisation.

* Working alongside the Finance Director and Financial Controller on the implementation of a new accounting package.

* Data / system cleansing of a new finance platform, testing and liaising with the IT development team to ensure a smooth transition from one system to another.

* Oversee the purchase ledger function to ensure that invoices are processed and paid on a timely basis.

* Manage workload of the team, allocating a balanced portfolio of accounts to each team member.

* Accurate processing of a high volume of purchase invoices, including matching invoices to purchase orders.

* Assist Management Accountant and Financial Controller for ad hoc reporting and analysis of nominal expenditure as and when required.

* Re-enforce and oversee the query resolution process, manage invoice queries and ensure resolution within an acceptable timeframe.

* Liaising with Business Managers and key suppliers to ensure accounts are managed efficiently.

* Distributing invoices to Purchase Order Originators for swift query resolution.

* Supplier statement reconciliations.

* Periodic payment runs
