Nigel Wright are delighted to be recruiting a Purchase Ledger Team Leader for our client based in Darlington. This is a permanent opportunity which could be of interest to someone who has experience of supervising a small team or someone looking to make a move into managing people.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Proven experience in a PL role to demonstrate you can move into a role managing a small team in this department
  • Understanding End to end pay process understanding
  • Performance reviews, support and coaching, setting objectives for a team of 3
  • Payment processing by BACS to meet deadlines
  • Ad-hoc urgent payments to meet business requirements
  • Payment and invoice allocations
  • Employee expense claim processing
  • Compliance with audit control and authorisation
  • Supplier invoice document management
  • Supplier invoice purchase order matching and variance resolution
  • Invoice approval management and audit control
  • Supplier query management
  • Site/ business query management
  • Statement reconciliations
  • EDI process management

As the ideal candidate:
  • End to end Accounts Payable understanding
  • Able to work full time hours Monday - Friday
  • Hybrid working available 2 days office / 3 days home
