Vibrance has an exciting opportunity available for you to join the team as a Purchase Ledger Officer based in Bethnal Green, London. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 35 hours per week (part-time/flexible working arrangements available) and in return, you will receive an attractive salary ranging from £21,239 - £22,331 per annum.

Responsibilities as our Purchase Ledger Officer will include:

- Assisting the Finance Manager in the provision of an efficient, effective, and pro-active finance function that is responsive to the ongoing needs of the organisation

- Being responsible for ensuring that the Purchase Ledger system is maintained and that payments are accurately and promptly made to suppliers of the Organisation in accordance with our Financial Standards

- Administering the Petty Cash systems ensuring that transactions are accurately posted to the nominal ledgers and that the balances are reconciled against the Cash Plus Bank Accounts on a monthly basis

- Undertaking year end tasks and support the annual audit process as required

- Undertaking other relevant financial tasks such as posting into the SAGE accounting system, reconciliation of accounts, and production of reports as and when directed

- Contributing to the shaping of the service to ensure that the Finance Function remains effective and provides high quality & responsive service

Skills and experience required by our Purchase Ledger Officer:

- GCSE Maths/English (or equivalent)

- Accounting Qualification or Part Qualification/Studying such as AAT or Degree (desirable)

- Minimum of three years of experience working within an accounting environment

- Experience of working within the finance department of a not-for-profit/public sector (desirable)

- Experience of working with colleagues across departments to resolve issues

- Experience of administering a Purchase Ledger System and making payments to suppliers

- Ability to communicate with staff at all levels and give advice on a wide range of Financial Issues

- Experience of data entry and reporting using SAGE or similar accounting system

- Excellent numerical skills

- Can demonstrate importance of confidentiality

- Ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook & Teams

- Proficient in the use of Excel Spreadsheets

- Experienced in the use of Accounting & Payroll systems and IT packages
