This recognisable international charity is currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join the vibrant team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for heading up the Purchase Ledger function for the whole charity, including managing a highly capable team of three and play a key role in several upcoming, exciting projects.

The main responsibilities of this Purchase Ledger Manager role include:

  • Management of the purchase ledger function for the organisation, including ensuring that all payments are recorded in an accurate manner and that they adhere to all contractual payment and compliance terms.
  • Full supervision of the purchase ledger team, including workflow management and review, providing training and support and giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
  • Be at the forefront of producing new ideas related to improving the efficiency of the team's current accounting processes and monitor the organisations software to optimise functionality.
  • Manage the weekly payment run process and produce performance related reports to the line manager upon request.
  • Hold key oversight of the reconciliations process, ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion.
  • Provide critical support to the Financial Controller in the roll-out of the new grant management system.

This brilliant role is the perfect opportunity for someone with a strong background in Purchase Ledger management who is now looking to consolidate their experience whilst working as part of a close-knit team in a complex establishment. Furthermore, my client has recently adopted a flexible approach to working, with employees only required to be in their London offices two times per week.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in a purchase ledger role of a managerial capacity.
  • Experience managing a small team within a complex establishment.
  • Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills and be confident in Excel.
  • A successful track record of delivering results and embracing change.
  • Ideally a background working in the charity sector, but this is not essential.
