Are you looking for a new, exciting job role? PMP Recruitment is immediately hiring a Purchase Ledger Clerk to work for a prestigious company based in Llantrisant. This role would suit a highly organised person with a purchasing background. The successful applicant will be working with PMP Recruitment for the duration of their time.

The Duration of the contract is 3 months subject to review

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:

To support the central function activities and ensuring accuracy and integrity of data when processing and reconciling data.

Assist in ensuring the overall objectives of the Finance section are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Daily review of bank accounts and journaling of items to appropriate cost centres.
Processing of sales ledger banking and credit card journals.
Processing end of day transfer journals in all systems and completing period end close procedures.
Raising of ad hoc sales invoices.
Working with colleagues to provide cover for leave/absence.PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

Timely completion of reconciliations.
No adverse feedback from finance team from mis-posting of items.
Completed within agreed timescales.
Completed within agreed timescales.
No adverse feedback from requestors.
No adverse feedback from line manageKNOWLEDGE:

Qualifications: Educated to 'A' Level standard or equivalent or qualified by experience.

Business Knowledge: Understanding of companies vision, strategy, values, processes and policies.

Financial Awareness: Ability to understand relevant business data including budgets, margins, volumes and prices. Is able to apply relevant ratios to determine demand profiles and future business requirements.

System Skills: Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and be computer literate along with knowledge of core IT systems, including Microsoft Outlook.

Relationship Management: Ability to build, develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers, colleagues and key stakeholders across the business.

TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

Good analytical & numerical skills.

Good time management skills.

Personal Development: Actively works to continuously develop and improve their self.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in medium to large finance team and understanding of manufacturing environments

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Salary: £11.60 per hour
