Job Description:

Working as part of a team, the main purpose of the Purchase Ledger Coordinator is to carry out key routine and ad hoc Purchase Ledger tasks, in a timely and accurate manner - this will include payment runs, user and supplier maintenance, invoice processing and other ledger tasks.

Key duties of the Purchase Ledger Coordinator include:

  • Deliver routine and ad hoc payments to suppliers in a timely manner, balancing the requirements of the divisions with overall Group Policy.
  • Undertake any related tasks regarding CIS and RCT returns.
  • Provide timely maintenance to Supplier and User accounts within the appropriate systems, complying at all times with established audit controls
  • Ensure that the regular flow of invoices is maintained, undertaking all routine checks for potential issues and resolving them.
  • Carry out the accounting period-end Purchase Ledger closure in a timely and accurate manner, complying with established timescales and delivering all required outputs.
  • Maximise quality and efficiency in all tasks undertaken. Review processes and scenarios regularly, suggesting changes as appropriate to promote continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal customers, suppliers and other team members.
  • Demonstrate a flexible, proactive and professional attitude to all areas of work, supporting both team and individual initiatives in a positive manner.

Purchase Ledger Coordinator Specification:

The ideal Purchase Ledger Coordinator will:

  • Have recent purchase ledger experience
  • Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and be able to prioritise own workload
  • Be able to work as part of a team and build good relationships
  • Be process driven
