Purchase Ledger Controller - 6 month contract ( to permanent)

Description:

This is an exciting role with a growing and dynanic comapny in South Manchester . The roel details are as follows:

  • Management of all aspects of purchase ledger

o Ensure all invoices are correctly authorised, allocated to the correct cost centre and accurately processed in accordance with company policy and within a timely manner.

o Maintain purchase orders, ensure invoices are correctly matched and un-utilised PO's are cancelled.

o Responsibility for account maintenance, including, new account set up, regular statement reconciliations and ensuring integrity of all ledgers is maintained to the highest standards.

o First contact for all supplier queries and management of supplier relationships.

o Monitor fund availability to facilitate supplier payment runs.

o Fortnightly payment runs . Creation of BACS files and bank uploads.

Cash book processing:

o Monitor and reconcile company bank accounts on a weekly basis.

o Daily maintenance of manual cashbooks

o Post and match receipts and expenditure on appropriate ledgers daily.

o Raise payments and inter account transfers on the online banking system.

The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or approaching AAT qualification. Attention to detail and a confident but grounded manner are key attributes in this role

The role is offered on a 6 month contract basis on Payroll. There will then be an option for it to be reviewed to permanent
