An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced purchase ledger clerk to join a well established and very successful company in Blandford. Our client has 5 busy offices situated throughout the South of England and their customer base in mainly within the agriculture and construction sectors.This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a varied role as the successful candidate will be not just be responsible for purchase ledger activities, there is plenty of variation within the daily responsibilities.The successful candidate will be either AAT part/fully qualified person or qualified by experience.

This company are growing fast and currently opening new offices so it is a very exciting time to be joining this team.Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing various nominal invoices and electronic purchase invoices
  • Processing some parts and wholegood invoices as and when necessary
  • Resolving queries from suppliers
  • Reconciling purchase ledger statements
  • Preparing the purchase ledger run and obtaining the necessary authorisations
  • Processing purchase ledger runs including making payments by BACS and card
  • Maintaining and reconciling supplier accounts paid by Direct Debit
  • Maintaining and reconciling company credit and purchasing cards.
  • ?Assist with the annual year-end audit
  • Keeping necessary VAT records including C79's
  • General administrative assistance to all departments in the depot as required
  • Assisting with other duties - e.g. processing daily post, taxing vehicles
  • Other Ad hoc tasks and journals
