My client has been one of Manchester's most successful companies over the past decade. Based in salubrious, modern offices in the heart of Manchester City Centre my client requires a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their welcoming finance team. This opportunity has arisen due to continued success and growth this year and will report into a supportive and forward thinking Accountant. Duties include:-* Accurately inputting invoices into the various finance systems, investigating any anomalies as they arise.* Management of Purchase Ledger inboxes across the group ensuring all emails are actioned accordingly* Maintenance of supplier database and purchase ledger accuracy* Reconciling supplier accounts to supplier statements.* Be the first point of contact for all supplier queries, escalating internally when required.* The production of weekly payment runs for various entities ensuring that the correct approval has been sought.* Ad-hoc payments when required.* Ensuring all debit balances are cleared in a timely manner* Production of monthly creditors reports for both external and internal suppliers* Reconciling inter-company creditors and investigating any discrepancies* Obtaining approval for and inputting TR's into the inhouse system* Management of invoice transfers from AP system to relevant accounting systems* Ensuring AP system & finance software are updated and in syncThis is a fantastic role for a team player who is willing to go the extra mile. You will work with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, have the ability to multi task and prioritise activities and have a good level of Excel knowledge.
