Description:

Working in partnership with a global and market leading haircare manufacturing company we are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the successful team in Leeds. The role is full time with hybrid working available.

Your role will be to assist the Financial Control function in day-to-day purchase ledger and control processes. The key objective of this role is to ensure accurate, timely processing of supplier accounts and provide support to the UK Finance Function.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Day to Day Control Processes

  • Ownership of invoice processing - high volumes
  • Leading and resolving invoice queries
  • Ownership of key stock suppliers
  • Lead on preparing and submitting GBP & multi-currency payment runs
  • Supporting on expense payments process
  • Support with employee expense administration
  • Setting up new suppliers & maintaining supplier master data integrity
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Support with invoice archiving
  • Implementing strong financial control disciplines
  • Supporting UK Finance team, Finance projects & ad hoc work

This role has no direct staff management responsibility but has lots of interaction with the diverse teams around the business.

The successful candidate should:

  • Be able to work efficiently and effectively in a logical manner with high volumes of paperwork, multiple currencies and liaise with many individuals who are operating across multiple locations
  • Be an excellent team player
  • Have a tenacious attitude with a proactive approach.
  • Have a good understanding of IT, specifically Microsoft office products e.g., excel
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  • Be able to work to deadlines
  • Be highly numerate with the ability to analyse, process and present information concisely and clearly
