Due to continuous success, a Newcastle-based organisation are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to work within their Accounting department on a three-month temporary contract. This role has the opportunity to be made permanent once the initial contract has ended.

The opportunity:This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This position is fully office-based with the opportunity for flexible working.If you are proactive, detail-oriented and interested in Finance, then this is the perfect role for you!You will be responsible for:• Processing purchase invoices in a timely manner• Preparing supplier statement reconciliations• Dealing with supplier queries• Maintaining the purchase ledger• Preparing wholesale payment files in line with market codes• Preparing BACS payment files• Preparing credit card accrual

You will be working within an experienced Accounts department, providing you with the opportunity to develop your existing accounting abilities in a new setting. The culture of this firm emphasises support and development. You will be joining a team of various backgrounds and ages.

Your skills will be centered around the ability to prioritise your workload, attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, professionalism and most importantly, teamwork. This organisation is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk with at least 1 to 2 years of experience, who will be able to come in and hit the ground running!
