Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Widnes

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours pw

Start Date: January/February 2022

Salary: 22-24k

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Register and post incoming invoices
  • Register any invoices not posted to UNIT4 and reasons why (returned to supplier)
  • Obtain new supplier information required.
  • Ensure supplier ring backs have been done for new suppliers.
  • Post invoices to UNIT4, ensure CIS and VAT have been posted correctly.
  • Run payment proposals and amend as necessary.
  • Load payments to online banking.
  • Complete credit forms.
  • Post development credit card transactions.
  • Chase in receipts and proformas.
  • Run weekly reports.
  • Tasks as allocated by the ledger supervisor.

  • Highly organised with a logical approach
  • Project & time management with close attention to detail
  • Able to follow current processes but continually looking for ways to improve them
  • Professional, proficient and proactive in approach
  • Excellent relationship builder and able to influence
  • Ability to communicate proficiently both in writing and orally - particularly on the telephone
  • Can work under pressure in a calm and thoughtful way
  • Likes to work as part of a team but equally comfortable working alone
  • Enjoys the challenge of multi-tasking and delivering
  • Not afraid to keep chasing for information in the appropriate way when it is not forth coming
  • Finishes all work to a high standard even when under pressure/tight deadlines
  • Excellent common sense and good sense of judgement
  • Resilient and hard working
  • Completely computer literate and a high familiarity with Microsoft Office

Experience:

  • purchase ledger: 1 year (preferred)
