Description:

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Telford have a vacancy for an Accounts Payable Clerk. Reporting into the Ledger Supervisor the role responsibilities are as follows:

* To support approximately 1400 supplier invoices per month onto JDE registration accurately and in a timely manner which includes three way matching to purchase order and goods received

* To adhere to authority signing levels as documented and applied in co-ordination with JSOX

* To manage electronic invoices, ensuring data is correctly captured and interfaced into accounting systems

* To perform three-way matching on invoices to confirm correct price and quantity

* To Interface all Self Billing invoices into JDE and calculate any price adjustments required

* To Interface all Supplied Parts invoices into JDE and ensure all invoices have been reconciled

* To input and process the monthly BACS run of approximately 350 payments to suppliers and to raise manual cheque payments for ad-hoc items when requested using appropriate authorisation form and adherence to JSOX.

* To reconcile supplier statements to JDE on a monthly basis

* First point of contact for account queries, with responsibility to resolve or promote to Accounts Ledger Supervisor.

Month End Duties

* To ensure that all purchase invoices are input and interfaced into JDE before the month end deadline

* To reconcile the three bank account statements monthly to the General Ledger

* To ensure any outstanding invoices not interfaced into JDE but relevant to the period are accrued within the period

* To adhere to J-SOX processes and apply accordingly at all times
