Handle Recruitment are working with an events business based in central London to find an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic and creative environment, this is a sole Accounts Payable role responsible for ensuring supplier invoices are paid and processed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all invoices are checked, coded and matched with POs prior to posting to accounting system
  • Prepare payment runs
  • Post cashbook payments and receipts
  • Reconcile purchase ledger accounts to supplier statements
  • Assist with quarterly VAT returns
  • Processing credit card payments on a daily basis
  • Process sales receipts
  • Assist finance team with other finance tasks such as credit control

We are looking for a proactive and self motivated purchase ledger clerk with 4-5 years of experience in a similar role. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. Prior AP experience within the events industry is a huge bonus!
