Purchase Ledger Clerk

Description:

My client is looking to recruit Accounts Assistant (Purchase Ledger) to join its finance team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all supplier invoices are correctly processed
  • Matching supplier invoices to goods receipts in SAP
  • Following up with the Merchandising Team and suppliers to resolve supplier queries
  • Answering queries from internal and external contacts (ensuring suppliers pay any amounts owed)
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Organising weekly payment runs, bank detail checks and sending out remittance advices
  • Opening and sorting mail
  • Managing the Finance Inbox

Skills Needed:

  • Ability to work at speed and with accuracy
  • Good level of written and spoken English, able to work with senior managers and suppliers
  • Time management
  • Organisational skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Experience of using SAP and matching invoices to purchase orders an advantage
