As part of our continued growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Site Based Purchase Ledger Clerk based in South East London/Kent. Working in the Finance department on a part-time basis (three days/week) initially with the possibility to be extended into five days.

Core working hours are 8am-5pm, 24 hr/pw. proposed days to be covered Tuesday-Thursday. However there is flexibility on which days are covered depending on candidate availability.

Job Title - Purchase Ledger Clerk

Salary - £23,000 per annum (pro rated to £13,800 on a 24hr week basis).

Reports to - Finance Manager

Role and Responsibilities:

* Drafting Purchase orders drafting as per Requisition forms provided.nd sending away to suppliers once approve

* Ensure drafted POs are approved and then sent to suppliers on time.

* Purchase orders reconciliation versus signed PODs, scanning[KP1] and saving all PO's into the system as per internal procedure. in place.

* Ensure invoices are appropriately authorised prior to posting purchase invoices and credit notes to the system.

* Appropriate Aadministration of the ordering system.

* Purchase invoices reconciliation for the preparation of month end of PL Account.

* Following up/ chasing of;

* Missing invoices

* PODs/ Consignments notes

* Process Staff Expenses into the system (Sage)

* To assist with financial management tasks, when required.

* Scanning invoices on completion.

* Opening and distributing post.

Person Specification

* Purchase Ledger experience essential

* Industry experience - desirable but not essential

* GCSE Maths and English

* Microsoft Office experience (Word / Excel mandatory)

* High attention to detail

* Able to use initiative to resolve issues

* Ability to work under pressure and with large volume of data under minimum supervision at times.

* Accounts software experience, advantage of Sage 50/Xero experience
