We are recruiting for a permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Newark based client.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the main areas of responsibility are working through the whole purchase ledger process, from purchase order to invoices and reconciliation's.
Duties include monthly payment run, entering invoices/credits onto SAP once authorised and either allocating to a GL code or against a purchase order. Dealing with supplier queries, chasing departments for invoices, dealing with audit queries (internal and external).
You will be joining a accounts team of 5 people.
The company use SAP and many of their systems are fully automated within SAP so previous experience with this would be beneficial.
We are looking for someone with previous experience and ideally an accounting qualification but will also consider someone who is qualified by experience. We would like someone that will take ownership of the ledger and pride in it. Attitude and willingness to be part of the team is hugely important.
Hours 37.50 per week, ideally 9.00 - 5.30 per day but can be a bit flexible with start and finish times.
Salary £20-23k Depending on experience
