Purchase Ledger Clerk

Description:

My client are a well respected company based in Old Trafford currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a 3 month temporary basis to help with a backlog of invoices.

This will be working remotely for the foreseeable of the assignment, you must have vast accounts payable experience.

Main responsibilities:

Processing of purchase invoices on the companies accounting software
Processing payments on a regular basis to suppliers via BACS, cheque or other methods
Reconcile supplier statements where considered necessary
Regular reconciliation of purchase ledger to main accounting nominal ledger to ensure no discrepancies between systems
Processing Remittance Advices for all Supplier Payments - Matter and Nominal related
Processing stopped and out of date cheques - matter related.
Providing timely information to other members of the Accounts team and the wider company
