About the Company

Based in Kingston Upon Hull my client is an established and respected organisation with an enviable reputation for product quality and service excellence. The need has arisen to recruit a high calibre Purchase Ledger Clerk for a period of 3 months to cover illness.

About the role

Duties include:

* Matching and Posting of all purchase invoices into Sage 50.

* Ensure that all purchase invoices have a corresponding purchase order and delivery note (where applicable).

* Reconcile supplier statements.

* Request and reconcile supplier statements for all active AP accounts, liaise with suppliers for additional information as required.

* Track and co-ordinate resolution of queries and disputes.

* Manage supplier settlement processes, with reference to relevant supplier credit terms.

* Deal with all A/P correspondence in a timely and professional manner.

* Identify and address any supplier disputes.

* Maintain and periodically review supplier 'organisation' master data records.

* Support general accounts with monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis of A/P information, as appropriate (i.e. review old outstanding balances, write-offs, account closures etc.)

Candidate Profile

With previous and proven experience in Purchase Ledger, you will be a proactive and positive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will possess strong IT skills, particularly in excel and have experience of working the entire purchase ledger cycle including statement reconciliations and problem solving. A highly motivated individual you will have the ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise tasks with ease
