Their new showroom based in Blackburn has allowed them to start a brand new Service Centre. This is to provide professional and manufacturer quality services for customers and the public.
Due to an internal promotion, they are now recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their developing accounts department. The successful candidate will have purchase ledger experience; ideally within the motor trade, and some experience in processing payroll. This will involve processing and paying invoices that come through the dealership along with other ad-hoc accounting duties passed on by the Financial Controller. The accounts department is exciting and vibrant and stands out from most, offering an excellent working environment.
The Role
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and the successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:-
Enter all supplier invoices onto internal system
Ensure job cards are costed correctly
Ensure invoices are signed off
Manage the purchase ledger control account
Create month end payment runs
Load payments onto the bank
Reconcile supplier statements
Run monthly payment run and enter onto payment log
Allocate any vehicle costs to relevant vehicle job card
Reconcile credit card statements
Filing of invoices after posting
Assist the Assistant Accountant with payroll duties

Skills & Expertise needed
Sage 50 Accounts
Experience processing payroll
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Full/part-qualified
Dealership experience, an advantage (but not essential)
Highly organised and able to prioritise with a high attention to deal
