Purchase Ledger Clerk

Description:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an established company in the Chelmsford area, initially on a temporary basis but with a view to become permanent. This role would suit someone who is capable of taking on the complete responsibility of the Purchase Ledger and also overseeing the payroll (but training can be given on this).

Responsibilities include : -

Taking control of the Purchase Ledger function

Dealing with incoming invoices

Reconcile statements.

Process payment runs

Dealing with subcontractor ledger

Calculate and deduct CIS tax where applicable

Overseeing the payroll (although not actually processing this on a weekly basis)

Assisting with answering the phones, dealing with Petty Cash and Journals etc.

Essential skills/experience : -

Must have proven, recent Purchase Ledger experience

Good IT skills

Ideally subcontractor ledger knowledge but this is not essential

Additional Information: -

Hours of work = 8.30am - 5.00pm Mon-Fri with an hour for lunch.

Hourly rate : £10.00 - £11.00 per hour

Temporary role with a view to become permanent if all goes well
