A Purchase Ledger Clerk is required for a company based in Bournemouth. This role would suit someone who loves everything "purchase ledger" and keen to secure a role long term within this part of finance.

Working in an experienced Purchase Ledger team of 4, you will be involved in the full end to end process of Purchase Ledger. You must have experience in Purchase Ledger and really enjoy this type of work, good attention to detail and working methodically is also key. Good knowledge of Word and Excel and full training will be provided on the accounting system and processes.

You will receive invoices, check invoices, preparation and posting to the accounts. Maintaining records e.g. daybooks, opening of new accounts and amending account details as necessary, processing weekly payment runs, checking statements and resolving differences, deal with purchase/payment enquiries via telephone and e-mail, process staff expenses, monitoring and covering the Supplier Accounts Inbox.

The ideal candidate should be organised, with attention for detail and a good eye for figures, fast and accurate on the keyboard, a problem solver, who isn't afraid to get involved in queries and sort them out, being a team-player and having good communication skills is essential, be reliable with an awareness of deadlines.
