Job Role

Purchase Ledger Clerk

Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for duties including but not limited to:

  • Matching, checking and coding invoices
  • Delivery notes in-putted into Epicor
  • Working out VAT payments
  • Making payments via BACS and cheques
  • Processing staff expenses, monthly reconciliation of the company credit cards
  • Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Filing invoices
  • Data entry
  • Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries


  • Assisting the Finance Manager with any ad-hoc tasks.
  • Answering telephone calls into the Finance department, transferring to the relevant people.
  • Ad-hoc ordering of items as required.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, including matching and coding invoices, knowledge of Epicor, reconciling supplier statements and working out VAT payments. They will need to work well within a team as well as being self-motivated.
