Our client based in the Berkhamsted area is looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their team. They are a family-owned, family-operated company and they serve many different industries including food, pharmaceutical, plastics, general recycling, automotive recycling, mining and printing with multiple locations across the globe.Your role will be responsible for the maintenance of their Accounts Payable ledger, across the two sites in Redditch and Berkhamsted but you willl be based in the Berkhamsted office. You will process invoices and payments, alongside related activities, ensuring accurate supplier records and uninterrupted supply to the business at all times.You will be setting up supplier accounts, receiving invoices from suppliers, matching to purchase order and processing on the system ad also communicating, logging and following up on invoice queries both internally and with suppliers. You will also be receiving and reconciling supplier statements in a timely fashion, requesting copies where needed, review of "Goods received Not Invoiced" on an ongoing basis to ensure invoices have been received and processed, generating UK and Currency payments for approval, Processing, posting and reconciling all supplier payments and also processing and paying employee expenses via the ledger. You will also be expected accounts support as required and requested by wider accounts team. You will have good communication skills, good system knowledge along with Microsoft Office skills. You will also have a can-do attitude with a flexible approach, a multi-tasker with strong attention to detail and willing to peruse information, even if not forthcoming. You would be working on a permanent full-time basis working Mon-Fri 08:30-17:00.
