Description:

Purchase Ledger Assistant required for an exciting permanent opportunity, working for a leading business based on the outskirts of Birmingham City Centre. The business has a wealth of well recognised customers who they serve and have been operating consistently throughout the pandemic. You will be working for a small and friendly team to manage the daily running of the accounts payable function to oversee and manage the company expenditure.

Duties:
- Setting up new suppliers and managing existing accounts
- Matching, checking and coding invoices
- Statement reconciliations
- Processing staff expenses
- Petty cash and banking duties
- Managing AP queries
- Supporting sales ledger and payroll when required
- Other ad hoc business duties

To Be Considered:
- Studying AAT (desirable)
- Experience working in purchase ledger (non-negotiable)
- Keen and willing to learn
- Previous experience with Sage Accounting Software (desirable)
- Confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders

This is a permanent opportunity and is ideal for someone looking to expand their finance career within a professional environment. The business has on site parking and is easily accessible by public transport, you will be required to work in the office full time Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm with an earlier finish on a Friday
