The Prime Atlantic Group of companies has seen an unprecedented and rapid expansion. The opportunity has arisen for a bright, experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Head Office in Kempston Bedford.

Main responsibilities:

* Stamp all incoming purchase invoices and code them to the relevant nominal code

* Record overhead purchase invoices on our internal Purchase Log and update the log when the invoices are returned

* Distribute Purchase invoices to the procurement department for signing off

* Processing of employee expenses and dealing with expense queries, ensuring they have been signed off by the correct individual.

* Post all purchase invoices and staff expenses onto Sage (Average 550 invoices over the group)

* Reconcile supplier statements to Sage

* Allocate payments to purchase invoices

* Set up new supplier records within Sage and maintain existing records

* Liaising with suppliers via phone and email

* Prepare the fortnighly payment schedules to be reviewed by the Financial Controller

* Post Barclaycard and Revolut card transactions onto Sage for Group companies and reconcile the accounts (Average 130 transactions)

* Deal with the accounts email inboxes ensuring these are kept clear and up to date

* General Admin duties

Previous experience / required skills

* Previous experience in a similar role

* Knowledge of Sage accounting software preferred

* Proficiency in Excel (preferred, but training can be provided)

* Good attention to detail

* A positive and approachable telephone manner

* Ability to prioritse workload

* Team player and customer focused

* A willingness to seek feedback to improve performance

* Excellent Time Keeping
