Job Title: Purchase Ledger Assistant

Salary: up to £20000 depending on experience

Location: Doncaster


Our client is a rapidly expanding business operating in the food processing sector. Due to the recent growth they are now looking to add to the finance team with the recruitment of Purchase Ledger Assistant.


Fill credit application forms, check suppliers details and set up supplier accounts on Sage
Code and register all incoming invoices and distribute to relevant managers
Record all invoices onto Sage 200
Ensure all purchase invoices are authorised before payment
Request statements from the suppliers and reconcile the supplier accounts
Organise purchase payment by completing two weekly payment lists
File invoices and statements
Deal and resolve all purchase enquiries
Allocate purchase payment
Bank reconciliations
Raise intercompany/3rd party sales invoices
Petty cash sheet update
Calculate commissions
Ad hoc duties as required

The Candidate:

-Attention to details
-Ability to work under pressure
-Purchase ledger experience
-Handling suppler queries, good communication skills
-Good organisational and time management skills
-Experience of working in an environment with high volume of invoices and tight deadlines.
-Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
-Experience of using accounts packages- Sage 200
