Purchase Ledger Assistant

Are you looking for a new job which offers a varied workload, within a busy but friendly and supportive team of Finance professionals?

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised individual with purchase ledger experience who has strong invoice processing skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage their own workload.

Responsibilities:

• Processing stock and expense invoices.
• Checking and coding invoices.
• Paying Proforma invoices.
• Checking and maintaining supplier statements.
• Matching stock invoices to PO and GRN.
• Preparing and inputting weekly payments runs.
• Dealing with supplier queries and requests for information.
• Responding to any internal and external customer requests.
• Completing monthly Intrastat return.

Requirements:

• Previous Purchase Ledger experience is essential.
• Good general standard of education, specifically in English language and Maths.
• AAT qualification desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills, as you will be dealing with internal and external queries over the phone and by email.
• Ability to communicate figures to non-finance staff.
• Experience of chasing invoices following authorisation.
• Experience of Axapta or similar accounting system.
• Microsoft Office: Outlook; Word; Excel (Intermediate).
• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and manage own workload.
• Able to work to deadlines.
• Good listening skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Able to follow processes and procedures.
• Team player who is able to work on their own and with colleagues.

About Custom Pharma Services (CPS):

CPS is a full-service "Clinical to Commercial" CDMO and holds various licences to operate a range of services which includes MIA, MIA(IMP), MS, WDA(H), API and ManA. CPS is an independent OSD specialist pharma contract services provider. CPS produces a range of formulations including modified release and potent products such as hormones at low dose. New development and commercial manufacturing facilities for high potency contained processing are under construction at a site adjacent to our existing Brighton, Moulsecoomb packaging and QC facilities.

We are located on the outskirts of Brighton with easy access to the A27 with free parking on site. Or we are within 15 minutes walking distance of local bus routes and Mouslecoomb or Falmer railway stations.

Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent

Hours: 30 per week - flexible

Salary: Competitive
