Do you have experience of managing the purchase ledger , including performing the payment runs and month end reconciliations?

As Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will be part of a small accounts team , supporting the Finance Manager.
Duties and responsibilities for the Purchase Ledger Assistant:
Matching, checking & coding invoices Purchase order to invoice reconciliation and resolving queries Ensuring VAT is correctly entered Making payments via BACS and cheques for GBP and foreign currency Checking & processing staff expenses Managing petty cash Dealing with colleague and supplier queries Liaising with other departments to investigate queries Statement checking/ reconciliations Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary Setting up new supplier accounts/ amending supplier details Assisting the Finance Manager and team with other adhoc activities
Skills and experience required for the Purchase Ledger Assistant:
Previous Purchase Ledger experience is essential Previous experience of payment runs is essential Good attention to detail Logical, methodical and can work on your own initiative. Excellent communication skills and telephone manner. Good I.T. skills - Full system training will be provided
