Purchase Ledger Assistant

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 + bonus scheme

Location: Lincoln

Our client, operating in the construction industry have an excellent reputation for quality and service. They are now looking to add to the Finance team with the recruitment of an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the maintenance of the purchase ledger ensuring purchases are recorded accurately and that suppliers are paid correctly and on time.

*Plan your own workload to ensure all invoices are matched to delivery tickets, prices & quantities checked, coded & entered within deadlines
*Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details.
*Reconcile supplier statements
*File invoices
*Act as a point of contact for all relevant enquiries
*Maintain strong relationships with suppliers
*Answer telephones
*General administrative support for the accounts department and Ad-hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate will be:
You will have previous experience with high volume purchase ledger. You will be well organised, motivated and self disciplined with the ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure. You will work in a professional manner at all times displaying transparency and integrity. Experience of Pegasus and the Construction Industry Scheme would be an advantage but not essential.
