Purchase Ledger Assistant

Location: Sevenoaks

Salary: £23,000

Hours: 09.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday

Julie Rose Recruitment are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join the accounts team of their fast-growing client in Sevenoaks. You will have at least six months experience within an Accounts Department and have strong attention to detail.

Main Duties for the Purchase Ledger Assistant:

Recording all invoices onto sage once checked and authorised by relevant person
Payment of invoices by BACS / cheque, chasing outstanding invoices, supplier statements reconciliations
Checking monthly expenses (signatures and receipts) and initiating payment by BACS
Reconciliation of credit card statements and posting to Ledger
Monitoring and recording petty cash, recording other offices\' petty cash receipts onto sage
Filing of invoices / expenses once paid
Entering Journals in Purchase Ledger
Entering BACS supplier payments
Subcontractor analysis
Partners mileage/company car information
Any other duties delegated by Team Leader
Person Spec for the Purchase Ledger Assistant:

Experience of processing invoices
Purchase Ledger experience
High attention to detail
Methodical and organised
Able to manage own workload
Proactive and flexible approach
