Part time Credit Controller/ Sales Ledger Clerk

Location: Manchester

Salary: £25,000 pro rata

Part time 3 days per week (24 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has come across my desk for an experienced Credit Controller to join well established, growing company within the FMCG sector. This business are a specialist importer who supply to Wholesalers and Supermarkets across the globe. This business pride themselves on their culture and allow a lot of flexibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Follow debt collection procedures for all three ledgers in various currencies, pursuing outstanding accounts by telephone and email

- Opening of new accounts on ledgers when appropriate

- Keeping an accurate log of all credit control communication

- Dealing with customer queries, sending out copy invoices/delivery notes and liaising with the Account Managers/Warehouse in respect of any order queries

- Producing and checking customer statements

- Review of duplicate account on the ledger

- Running of invoices on a daily basis and email the invoice to the customer

- Processing Invoices via EDI

- Daily banking - Post and allocate receipts to customer accounts

Administration

- Regular Maintenance and housekeeping of the Customer Master Files and Sales & Purchase Ledgers

- Answering all correspondence and customer telephone queries

- Filing of invoices

- Assisting in other duties as and when required

Relationships

- Liaison with Accounts Managers and Warehouse to ensure that the customer queries are resolved as quickly as possible

- Supporting the Credit Manager & Financial Controller

- Assisting other members of the Finance team as and when required

Key requirements:

- Experienced as a credit controller

- Very good communication skills

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Must have worked within the FMCG industry

- Experienced within Export (Essential)

- Good administration skills

- Multi-currency experience (Desired)

- Experienced using SAGE (Desired)
