The successful candidate will be expected to develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers, working closely with a number of departments within the business, this position will be integral to providing up to date credit information to management to assist them in making well informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability all whist maintaining and developing strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Client Details

Due to continued client growth and new business acquisition our client seeks to recruit an experienced Credit Controller, an expanding Agricultural organisation dominating their field throughout the UK.


  • Reconcile all monies and allocate to customer accounts
  • Liaise effectively with customers and ensure all appropriate steps are taken to assist the collection of all outstanding monies andamp; received within the required credit terms
  • Negotiation of payment terms andamp; plans
  • Daily support to the HR andamp; Finance Managers
  • Deal efficiently with all account queries and discrepancies
  • Allocate cash and ensure that bank payments are reconciled with postings to customer accounts on a daily and monthly basis
  • Reconciliations
  • Finance administration to support the team
  • Manage and ensure credits are issued and authorised
  • Perform credit checks on new and existing clients
  • Assist with general administration within the team
  • To provide assistance and support to enhance customer service function


  • Ability to effectively manage a large number of UK customer accounts, 500+
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience of Credit Control procedures essential
  • Excellent communication skills with the skills and experience to handle awkward and slow paying customers
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Formal credit control/finance related qualification desirable
  • High degree of computer literacy, with Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as use own initiative to support additional duties within the accounts team
  • Desire to grow professionally
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make logical decisions
